At approximately 4:29 AM, the Alexandria Police Department responded to a three-vehicle crash on southbound I-49. According to the preliminary investigation, Danielle was driving her red GMC Acadia when the vehicle left the roadway and struck a guardrail. The crash disabled her vehicle, leaving it stopped in the middle of the roadway.
Heavy rainfall and severely reduced visibility created dangerous conditions, and within moments, the disabled Acadia was struck by two additional southbound vehicles. The secondary collision caused catastrophic injuries. Danielle was rushed to a local hospital, where, despite efforts to save her, she later passed away.
