Following the untimely death of 31-year-old fighter Isaac Johnson on Friday night, November 21, 2025, during a bout at Cicero Stadium, the mixed martial arts (MMA) community and the city of Chicago are in grief. At approximately 8:38 p.m., an ambulance was called to the scene after Johnson sustained an injury in the cage. The injured fighter was rushed to Loyola University Medical Center, but despite the swift response, Isaac was later pronounced dead.
The Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office identified Johnson as the victim of the incident. However, at the time of reporting, no official cause of death has been released. Authorities are conducting an ongoing investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death, with the Cicero Police Department leading the inquiry.
