Communities across Prince William County are grieving after the tragic death of Jack Steinbrunner, a well-loved teen who passed away following a serious accident. Jack, who attended Brentsville District/Kettle Run High School, died at the hospital late last night from injuries sustained in the accident, leaving family, friends, classmates, and educators heartbroken.
Jack is being remembered as a kind, humble, and hardworking young man whose gentle spirit touched everyone who knew him. His loss has sent waves of sorrow through multiple school communities, including Brentsville District High School, Kettle Run High School, Manassas, and The Nokesville School, where many students and staff had connections to him and his family.
Casey Cline, speaking on behalf of those closest to the Steinbrunner family, shared a message reflecting the profound grief felt by all:
“We are heartbroken by the loss of a young man who was cherished by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. During this difficult time, the family of Jack Steinbrunner kindly asks that there be no visits to the home as they navigate their grief.”
As friends, classmates, and members of the wider community reach out, many have been asking how they can offer support. The family has expressed that while the gestures are deeply appreciated, they are not able to receive visitors at this time. Instead, they have offered a meaningful way for those who wish to help to show their care. GoFundMe
“Many have asked how they can help. In moments like these, it is natural to want to offer comfort and support. In lieu of meals, the family would greatly appreciate gift cards such as DoorDash, Grubhub, or local grocery stores,” Cline added.
Gift cards may be dropped off with the Cline Family at 11421 Morla Lane, and all contributions will be delivered directly to Jack’s family.
Messages of remembrance and love continue to pour in for Jack. Those who watched him grow describe him as a bright, remarkable young man who possessed a natural kindness and strong work ethic from an early age.

“Jack was always so kind, humble, and hardworking, even from a young age,” reflected one family member.
As the community mourns, schools are preparing to offer support services for students and staff impacted by the tragedy. Grief counselors are expected to be available to help classmates process the loss of someone many viewed not only as a friend but an inspiration.
Jack Steinbrunner’s memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him, and the community stands united in support of his grieving family—Lindsay Marie, Ally Steinbrunner, Jamie Steinbrunner, and all loved ones devastated by this unimaginable loss.
The family and community ask for continued compassion, understanding, and respect as they navigate this painful time. Landscape lighting
